To comemorate Black History Month, Disney announced that it would be bringing the critically acclaimed series black-ish to Disney+ this week, as well as its spin-off grown-ish. More specifically, both shows will be available to stream tomorrow, Wednesday February 9th.
Both shows will be added to the Black Stories Collection, which aims to amplify Black stories on Disney+ all year long.
Only the first seven seasons of black-ish while be available to stream, while the first three seasons and the first 9 episodes of the 4th season of grown-ish will be available to stream.
Black-ish, which is in its final season, first premiered on ABC in 2014. The series follows the Johnson family as it tackles various topical issues in an attempt to explore what it means to be Black today.
Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Laurence Fishburne, and Jenifer Lewis star.
The spin-off, grown-ish, follows the family’s oldest daughter (Shahidi) as she goes off to college and explores the current issues students face on the cusp of adulthood alongside her friends.
Deon Cole, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Chris Parnell, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, and Diggy Simmons co-star.
