5 actors who could voice Scar in THE LION KING reboot!

5 actors we believe could voice Scar in Disney's upcoming remake of the Lion King.

Yes a remake of Lion King is on the way and it’s being directed by Jon Favreau the man behind last years hit Disney remake of The Jungle Book. Now he’s using that amazing CGI for the pride lands. Favreau has announced via social media that James Earl Jones would be once again reprising his role of Mufasa, and Donald Glover stepping into the Simba role. So we decided to put together a list of actors who we think could voice Scar.

5. Jeremy Irons

Well James Earl Jones has returned so it’s not a far out idea that we couldn’t see the original voice of Scar also return. The Batman doesn’t start filming until 2018 so Irons has the time.

4. Tom Hanks

If there is one thing we know for sure it’s that Disney loves working with Tom Hanks and Tom Hanks loves working with Disney. It would be very interesting to see Tom Hanks take a villain roll on and with his great track record this multiple  Academy Award winner could do it.

3. Anthony Hopkins

Hopkins has already played one of the best villains of all time on screen Hannibal Lecter, his voice is chilling haunting and creepy. Hopkins would be perfect for Scar.

2. Idris Elba

Jon Favreau  loves working with actors he’s already worked with in his previous movies, and Elba was in 3 movies from the Disney Co. last year Favreau’s Jungle Book being one of them. His take on Shere Khan was menacing and pure evil. We would be all in for Elba to voice another Disney cat!

1. Mads Mikkelsen

Mikkelsen  has been in the movie business for a long time but his name is growing with his roles and such films as Doctor Strange and Rogue One. He’s played numerous villains in other roles. Mikkelsen is very Shakespearen in his acting and would be the no-brainer choice for the role of Scar.

Who would you like to see voice Scar in the upcoming remake? let us know in the comments.
