Beyoncé wanted for Nala in Disney’s LION KING REMAKE!

Beyonce’s role as queen of the world could be turning to queen of the jungle.

The Lemonade singer is reportedly who director Jon Favreau wants to voice Nala in the forthcoming Lion King remake, according to . The outlet reports that Beyonce has been approached about the role, but has not decided whether she’ll take it. No further details were included.

If Beyonce does join the cast, she’d play mom to Donald Glover — the Atlanta actor was announced as the voice of Simba in February. James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Simba’s father, Mufasa. Alongside Favreau directing, Jeff Nathanson is writing the remake of the iconic film. The Lion King will not be live-action but will look it, similar to that of The Jungle Book, which was also directed by Favreau (and has a sequel underway).
