The man who relaunched it all, J.J. Abrams, is set to return to a galaxy far, far away.
The Star Wars twitter account just posted the news, saying that J.J Abrams will replace Colin Trevorrow as the new director and co-writer (alongside Chris Terrio) for ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’. This would make Abrams the only other person to direct more than 1 Star Wars Film.
In a statement, Lucasfilm film President Kathleen Kennedy said:
With The Force Awakens, J.J. delivered everything we could have possibly hoped for, and I am so excited that he is coming back to close out this trilogy.

I thought Star Wars: Episode VII was a good movie, so I’m totally down for this!
