According to Variety veteran actress Shirley MacLaine has joined Anna Kendrick In Disney’s female Santa film Nicole.
The story revolves around Santa’s daughter (Kendrick), presumably the titular Nicole, who is forced to take over the family business when her father retires and brother ends up getting cold feet prior to his first big Christmas Eve flight. The movie which has no relation to the Tim Allen trilogy of Santa Claus films is being written and directed by Marc Lawrence (Miss Congeniality). With Susanne Todd producing and Louie Provost overseeing the production. The film is expected to start production this fall. Disney is also developing Dashing Through The Snow starring Kevin Hart.
Nicole will hit theaters on November 8, 2019.
