Just yesterday we posted the production start date for Disney’s female Santa Claus film Nicole. Well casting announcements keep coming.
According to Deadline veteran actress Julie Hagerty and child actor Maceco Smedley have joined the cast.
Hagerty will play Mrs. Claus in the film centered on Santa’s daughter, who finds herself having to take over the family business. Smedley plays Alex, a smart, sweet boy who has a hard time connecting with his dad during their brief moments together since his parents’ divorce.
Hagerty and Smedley join a growing cast including Anna Kendrick, Bill Hader, Shirley MacLaine, Billy Eichner, and being written/directed by Marc Lawrence (Miss Congeniality). With Susanne Todd producing and Louie Provost overseeing the production.
Nicole will hit theaters on November 8, 2019.
