Jude Law Joins Brie Larson In CAPTAIN MARVEL!

Production on Captain Marvel is slated to begin early next year, so casting is still underway and a big name has joined the cast of the upcoming MCU film. According to a report by Variety, Jude Law is in talks to play the male lead opposite Brie Larson in Marvel’s Captain Marvel. Law’s role is currently unknown but is said to be a mentor to Larson’s Danvers. Its very likely the character could be Doctor Walter Lawson, a.k.a. Mar-Vell, who will serves as a mentor to Carol Danvers and teaches her how to use her new powers. In addition to Larson, Law joins Samuel L. Jackson who reprises his role as a two-eyed Nick Fury as Marvel is dialing back the clock for the film, setting it during the 1990s. Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) is also in talks to join the film as the villain. He will likely play the leader of the Skrulls, a race of shape-shifting aliens from the comics which are set to make their first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the film. Mississipi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are set to helm the project. Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
