After a little over a month of news, rumors, and speculations regarding Disney acquiring Fox assets it looks as though a deal has been made.
Multiple outlets are reporting the studios have come to terms on a deal worth over $70 billion and are waiting for the contracts to get drafted and signed. We have a source at the studio who confirmed these reports.
According to Ain’t It Cool News Hugh Jackman is willing to return to Wolverinve for Avengers 4. Jackman has said in the past that “The Avengers would prove too much to turn down.” The outlet is also reporting that the Disney/Fox deal is complete.
It should be noted that both Disney and Fox have not confirmed the deal as of yet, so things could still possibly change.
Both studios have been talking with bankers to help workout the fine print with the contracts. Included in the Disney-Fox deal would be 20th Century Fox film and TV studio, the FX Networks, Nat Geo Channels group, 22 regional sports networks, Fox’s collection of international channels, including Star India, and its 39% stake in Sky. The Fox Broadcasting Co, and National Fox Sports and News would NOT be included.
Stay tuned for more news as it breaks.
