We are just a few days removed for the 2018 Academy Awards ceremony and the Walt Disney Company already has their sights on next years festivies.
According to a top executive over at Disney, the company is planning a full awards season campaign for Black Panther, including a Best Picture nomination.
Now we are only in March, and there are still hundreds of films to be released the remainder of 2018, so anything can change.
Black Panther has been a critical and financial success for the house of mouse. It’s set to make $1 billion at the worldwide box office in its fourth week in release, and is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 97%.
Black Panther 2 is expected to be officially announced come July.
