Disney Announces New Release Dates For MARY POPPINS RETURNS And More
Disney has announced brand new release dates for a few of their highly anticipated projects that are currently in development.
Just last week it was reported that Indiana Jones 5 wouldnt make its release date of July 10, 2020, due to script issues which is why Solo: A Star Wars Story scribe Jon Kasdan was recently brought on board to work on the project. Disney has now announced that the film will hit theaters on July 9, 2021.
The studio has also officially dated Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise for October 11, 2019, with Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent 2 opening the following year on May 29, 2020.
Disney made changes for two of its 2018 releases. Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2 has been retitled to Ralph Breaks the Internet while Mary Poppins Returns is moving up a week from December 25 to December 19. That puts it up against Bumblebee and Aquaman, as well as other major Winter releases.
Lastly in further ‘Untitled’ movie projects, Disney has moved an Untitled Disney Live Action movie from July 9, 2021 to July 30, 2021, and moved an Untitled Marvel Studios movie from July 30, 2021 to February 12, 2021. In addition the studio has removed two untitled live action Disney movies from their schedule, they were previously set for November 8, 2019 and February 21, 2021.
