Justin Theroux Joins Disney’s LADY AND THE TRAMP Remake

Just yesterday it was reported that Ashley Jensen had joined the cast of Disney’s live-action/CGI remake of Lady and the Tramp as Jackie a gender swapped version of the original films Jock. Now the studio has found its Tramp.

According to Collider, The Leftovers starJustin Theroux is in talks to voice the leading dog Tramp. The studio is currently looking to cast for Lady. We can tell you exclusively that the studio had made an offer to Captain America himself Chris Evans but passed.

Charlie Bean, who directed The Lego Ninjago Movie (which also starred Theroux), is attached to direct. Brigham Taylor, who worked on the studio’s remake of The Jungle Book and Christopher Robin and currently working on The One And Only Ivan, is producing the project, Andrew Bujalski penned the script.

Disney already has a lot of content in development for the streaming service including live-action remakes of Sword In The Stone, as well as Noelle starring Anna Kendrick, Magic Camp starring Adam Devine, Stargirl3 Men And A BabyDon QuixoteTimmy FailureThe Paper Magician, and Togo.
