Aladdin Crosses $400 Million At The Global Box Office – Disney Company Crosses $5 Billion

Aladdin continues to have box office steam going into its second week, and despite the release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Rocketman hitting theaters, Aladdin still managed to make $43 million at the domestic box office this weekend. Aladdin is already the fifth highest grossing film at the box office globally in 2019. Disney now has three films in the top 5 for year so far including 1. Avengers: Endgame $2.7B and 2. Captain Marvel $1.1B. Disney’s other live-action remake this year Dumbo is sitting at 9 with $349.9M. The studio has reached $5.147B, of which $3.509B comes from the international market, and $1.638B from North America. Still to come for Disney are Toy Story 4 on June 21, The Lion King on July 19, Frozen 2 on November 22, Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil on October 18, and trilogy finale Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker on December 20, with these films still to come Disney is project to make an astounding $10B by years end. Fox’s Dark Phoenix opens this week and its gross will contribute to that final Disney tally.
