Duplass Brothers To Executive Produce Disney+ Series ‘Shook’

As reported last week, Disney is building original content for their upcoming streaming service Disney+. Now, the Duplass brothers want in on the service. According to Discussing Film, Mark and Jay Duplass are set to executive produce Shook, an original series for Disney+. The brother will produce under their Duplass Brothers Productions banner. Written by Jonathan Hurwitz (American Reunion), the series pilot will be directed by Hannah Peterson (East of the River), and will center on a “teenage girl who goes after her dream to be a superstar dancer.”  Daniela Ruiz and Ross Partridge are also set to produce. The series will begin production in August in Los Angeles. Disney+ which debuts this November. Will feature a wide array of content from the animation to live-action which includes The Mandalorian, Monsters At Work, High School Musical The Series, Stargirl, The Falcon, and The Winter Soldier, Loki, WandaVision, Untitled Walt Disney Imagineering Documentary Series, The Muppets, and more.
