Marvel Studios upcoming Disney+ series Falcon & Winter Soldier has tapped John Wick creator Derek Kolstad to join the writing team.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are reprising their roles as Sam Wilson (The Falcon) and Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier), as well as Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, and Daniel Brühl who will once again play Baron Zemo.
The series is expected to take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Sam is dubbed the new Captain America by Steve Rogers.
All six episodes of the miniseries, which will air in August 2020, will be directed by Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaids Tale, The Punisher), with Malcolm Spellman (Empire) writing.
Marvel will have a big impact on Disney+ as series for Loki, Scarlett Witch & Vision (titled WandaVision), and Hawkeye are all in various stages of development for the streaming service set to launch this November.
