Okay, not back from the dead exactly, but certainly back in our lives, as MCU fans can now watch Robert Downey Jr.’s original Iron Man audition tape, thanks to a never-before-seen Avengers: Endgame featurette.
Fans across the globe are still picking up the pieces following Iron Man’s shocking sacrifice at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Remember, we can officially ‘Spoil the Endgame’ now… Marvel said so.
But, to the delight of countless mourning fans, a new Avengers: Endgame featurette (courtesy of Fandango) reflecting on Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Tony Stark/Iron Man has his the internet – revealing a first-ever peek at Robert Downey Jr.’s original Iron Man screen test – and as you can imagine, it’s everything.
Following the success of the very first Iron Man in 2008, Downey went on to reprise the epic role nine more times, solidifying Iron Man as one of the most popular characters in the MCU. His character’s story came to end an in Avengers: Endgame, when he sacrificed his own life to save the universe from Thanos and his army.
The clip is just one of the many bonus features that fans will be treated to from Avengers: Endgame’s Home Entertainment release – including six deleted scenes – when it is released at the end of this month (July 30 on digital and August 13 on Blu-ray).
