Macaulay Culkin responded to news of the ‘Home Alone’ reboot in the most PERFECT way

In case you missed it, this is how former child-star Macaulay Culkin responded to the news that Disney was planning to reboot the Home Alone franchise for its upcoming streaming service, Disney+…

Culkin, who played the leading role of Kevin McCallister in 1990’s Home Alone and 1992’s Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, took to Twitter to respond to the controversial news that Disney is taking the popular franchise down the reboot route.

And it was perfect.

The now 38-year-old actor posted a hilarious picture of himself “home alone”, surrounded by takeout food and slouched on his couch in loungewear, with the caption: “This is what an actual Home Alone would actually look like.” Culkin followed this by tweeting: “Hey @Disney, call me!”

Understandably, the tweet has attracted a huge amount of attention online. Since August 7, the tweet has been liked over 850,000 times, retweeted over 154,000 times and collected over 9,000 comments (as of August 9).

Disney recently announced that they had plans to reboot several of their newly-acquired Fox properties. In addition to Home Alone, they plan to reboot Fox properties Night at the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Home Alone and Cheaper by the Dozen for the studio’s upcoming streaming service, Disney+.

It is currently unclear whether the properties are being planned as feature films or series.

Disney+ launches on November 12, 2019.
