‘The Proud Family’ Series In The Works for Disney+

It looks like a beloved Disney Channel animated show The Proud Family will soon be making a comeback.

During a red carpet event for the horror movie 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, actor Tommy Davidson was being interviewed by Where Is The Buzz when he accidentally slipped out that he is working on brand new episodes of the popular show for Disney+. Davidson is the voice of Oscar Proud, the patriarch of the family show.

The show used to be a popular animated sitcom on Disney Channel in the early 2000s. The show puts you in the shoes of Penny Proud, the main character and oldest daughter of the family, as she navigates life and the typical experiences of growing up with her family and friends (with a fair share of crazy antics here and there). Though Disney has not made any official announcements yet, it is possible we may hear more details on this new Disney+ series very soon – especially with D23 Expo lingering just around the corner.

Are you looking forward to the possible return of The Proud Family? Let us know your thoughts!
