Chris Pratt and Tom Holland On Stage For Pixar’s ‘Onward’

During the Walt Disney Studios panel at this year’s D23 Expo, Chris Pratt and Tom Holland took on the stage to share more about their upcoming collaboration on Pixar’s newest film, Onward.

In this new fantasy tale, two teenage elf brothers – Ian and Barley Lightfoot – go on a journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.

Director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae were also on stage to talk about the movie. Julia Louis-Dreyfus was also present, who voices the elf brothers’ mom. Scanlon mentioned that he drew inspiration from his personal life since he and his brother grew up without a father.

At D23 Expo, eight minutes of Onward was played and even Pratt and Holland were so excited to see the sneak peek that they joined their fans to watch the clip, too. Footage showed the elf brothers try to use a spell to bring their deceased father back for a day but they messed up and only got the bottom half of their dad from the waist down. The clip ends with them on a hunt for a gem that can bring him back fully.

You can embark on the journey as well when Onward arrives into theaters on March 6th, 2020. Check out the movie poster below:
