Look out Spider-Man fans! Seems like the hero will get some street-level help with The Punisher joining the web-slinger’s next installment.
According to multiple reports, Jon Bernthal has played Frank Castle aka The Punisher since 2016 for Netflix/Marvel tv series Daredevil, his own spinoff series, and the recent revival series Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+.
With Punisher joining Spider-Man: Brand New Day, could this mean that the film will be more of a grounded, street level as many Spider-Man would wanted after No Way Home?
There’s been speculation that Spider-Man will be fighting tons of villains in Brand New Day, including Hulk who’s rumored to appear in the film as well.
Brand New Day will take place after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
No plot details as of yet but Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man along with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ and Ned, plus some new actors joining the film including Netflix’s Stranger Things and Tony nominee actress Sadie Sink, and FX’s The Bear star and Emmy winner Liza Colon-Zayas.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will began filming this Summer in London and set with release date of July 31, 2026 being directed Destin Daniel Cretton and co-produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.
