Earlier this year, Marvel television announced a Ghost Rider series based off Gabriel Luna’s Robbie Reyes character from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Sadly, it looks like we won’t see Reyes on the small screen anytime soon.
According to Deadline, Hulu has decided they will not be moving forward with the series due to creative differences with the development team.
The trade also reports it is unclear if the studio will shop the project around to Freeform, ABC, or Disney+, all of which seem unlikely to me as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is fond of the character and there are rumors he could bring Ghost Rider to the big screen in the future.

Gabriel Luna starred as Ghost Rider in the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. This version of Robbie Reyes was granted the Spirit of Vengeance’s powers after sustaining fatal injuries in a gang shootout that also left his younger brother paralyzed. With his newfound powers, Gabriel Luna’s Ghost Rider exacts revenge on the gang members who wounded his brother and other people he believes deserves his wrath.
Don’t worry Marvel fans Hulu still has tons of content in development including a Helstrom series, along with the third season of Marvel’s Runaways. In addition to these live-action shows, Hulu is set to release four animated shows, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel’s Howard The Duck, which will culminate in a crossover special titled Marvel’s The Offenders.
