Jillian Bell and Isla Fisher Set To Star In Disney+ Film ‘Godmothered’

Last month we brought you exclusive character breakdowns for the Disney+ fairy godmother movie tentatively titled Godmothered. Now the main roles have been filled.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street) and Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) have signed on to star. Below is our story breakdown.

A young fairy godmother (Bell) who comes from a magical-gothic parallel universe and attempts to help a single mother (Fisher) who thinks she will never get a fairytale ending.

Production on the project begins on Monday in Boston Massachusetts and is expected to wrap sometime in mid-March.

Directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones franchise), Justin Springer (Dumbo,TRON: Legacy) will produce the project. Writers Kari Granlund (Lady and The Tramp) and Melissa Stack (The Other Woman) are also on board the project.

Godmothered is the latest Disney+ original film in development and will join a growing slate of original films exclusive to the service that include Noelle, Togo, Timmy Failure, Stargirl, Secret Society of Second Born Royals, Safety, Flora & Ulysses, Home Alone, Hocus Pocus 2, Shrunk, Peter Pan, Sword In The Stone, Cheaper By The Dozen, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Night At The Museum, Sister Act 3, Prince Anders, amongst many others.
