We have known for quite some time that Harrison Ford would be breaking out the whip once more for a new Indiana Jones film, and thanks to a recent interview we know when production will kick off on the fifth installment of the storied franchise.

While speaking with CBS Sunday Morning, Ford teased that production is expected to start as soon as this April, the actor also shared his love for revisiting his classic characters that also include Han Solo.

“When we have an opportunity to make another, it is because people have enjoyed them, I feel obliged to make sure our ambitions are as ambitious as they were when we started.” 

In a separate interview, while promoting his newest film The Call of the Wild, Ford appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show and stated something a little different.

“it’s going to be fun, They are great fun to make.”

Legendary director Steven Spielberg (Jaws) returns to the director’s chair for Indiana Jones 5, David Koepp (Jurassic Park) wrote the latest draft of the script, Jonathan Kasdan (Solo: A Star Wars Story) wrote the previous draft. Producing  Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce for Lucasfilm, and legendary composer John Williams will return to score.

Indiana Jones 5, which is still officially untitled is set to hit theaters on July 9, 2021.
