Disneyland Auditioning For Stunt Performers for Avengers Campus

Maybe a possible glimmer of hope that Disneyland may open sometime soon? According to the Disney audition site. Disneyland is looking for stunt performers to be part of new stunt shows when Avengers Campus opens at Disney California Adventure.

The new shows will feature Captain America, Black Panther, and General Okoye. The last time had auditions for stunt performers was back in February which was 5 months before the original opening of Avengers Campus. The campus was to open in mid-July, but the pandemic has put an indefinite hold on everything. Int the last few months, however, there has been a lot of progress at the Avengers Campus construction site.

The new Disney casting call seeks stunt performers with athletic builds who are skilled in theatrical hand-to-hand combat, sword-and-shield combat, martial arts staff handling, acrobatics, tumbling, and wall climbing to portray the Marvel superheroes. The website also listed specific height ranges for each of the Marvel superheroes: Captain America (5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet, 3 inches), Black Panther (5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches) and General Okoye (5 feet 4 inches to 6 feet). There will be four new shows at the Avengers Campus when it opens. The site is accepting applications for the stunt roles through September 6th.
