Lunar New Year Celebration Is Back at Disney’s California Adventure
Welcome to the Year of the Tiger at Disney’s California Adventure. Disney’s Lunar New Year Celebration kicks off and lasts through February 13th at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.
Lunar New Year celebrates the celestial journey of the sun and the moon on their voyage toward another year. This special festival invites you to make memories with your family and friends while sharing wishes for good health, luck, and prosperity throughout the year to come.
Here is a look at some of the things to expect from this year’s celebration.

This year, “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” shows off a brand new float that features Mulan and Mushu. They will be accompanied by Chinese drummers and other performers dancing alongside the float. There will also special appearances by Disney characters at the Paradise Gardens Gazebo, you’ll get to see Tigger, Mulan and Mushu, Mickey and Minnie, and the Three Little Pigs to name a few.

Along the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Raya from Ray and the last Dragon will make her debut in the Disney parks in a new and unique meet and greet experience for the Lunar New Year.

Lunar New Year will offer an amazing choice of Asian-inspired dishes with a Disney twist. You will be able to choose to take advantage of the popular Sip and Savor Page, which provides six coupons, redeemable for select food and nonalcoholic beverages at participating locations such as Longevity Noodle Co., the Lucky 8 Lantern, Red Dragon Spice Traders, Lucky Fortune Cookery and more!

Check out the lanterns at the Lucky Wishes Wall to share your own special wishes of hope, health, and happiness that roar with confidence for the Year of the Tiger. Then, enjoy complimentary arts and crafts, such as coloring a “Dragon’s Pearl” and Chinese calligraphy with local artisans.
