Disneyland Parking Trams Are Making Their Return in Two Weeks

No more walking from Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures to the Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland parking trams are set to make their return on February 23, the OC Register has learned.

The trams will run from before the parks open until they close each day. When the trams open, they will return without any mask or social distancing requirements.

The trams were put out of service in March when A Touch of Disney Food Festival debuted at Disney California Adventure and both parks returned to full operations last April. They remained close for the health and safety of guests. The resort has been conducting maintenance on the trams and rehiring cast members over the past few months and have even installed new sensors at loading/unloading stations while driver do their test runs.

In the meantime, guests have been walking from the two structures to the Downtown Disney District. The alternative is parking in the Toy Story parking lot off Harbor Blvd and shuttling to the resort via ART buses. Right now, Disney is already making changes to security requirements at the structure in preparation for their return.
