Bender Bending Rodriguez is back!

Following previous reports that the a deal had yet to be reached for Bender voice actor John DiMaggio to return for Hulu’s new Futurama revival, according to Deadline the actor will indeed return.

In a statement that is impossible to read without hearing Bender’s voice, the actor said,

“I’M BACK, BABY! So damn grateful for the love and support of fans and colleagues alike during this whole time (especially my wife, Kate), and I cannot wait to get back to work with my Futurama family. #Bendergate is officially over, so put it on the back of a shelf behind Xmas decorations, or maybe in that kitchen drawer with all of the other crap you put in there like old unusable crazy glue, or maybe even put it in a jar you save farts in. Whatever floats your boat, I don’t care, you get the picture. I’M BACK, BABY! BITE MY SHINY METAL ASS!”

DiMaggio will return alongside Billy West, Katey Sagal. Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr and David Herman.

For those unfamiliar with the series, it follows a pizza delivery boy named Philip Fry (West) who wakes up in the year 3000 after becoming cryogenically frozen in the year 1999. While trying to start fresh, he meets an alcoholic robot named Bender and a rough-around-the-edges cyclops named Leela (Sagal). The three begin working for Fry’s much older nephew at the Planet Express, a galactic delivery service. Each episode follows the trio as they meet other interesting characters, go on interstellar adventures, and deal with “typical” 31st century problems.

The show was co-created by Matt Groening (The Simpsons) and David X. Cohen (Beavis and Butt-Head).

The animated sci-fi comedy classic is expected to drop 20 new episodes exclusively on Hulu next year.
