It’s May the 4th and Lucasfilm has given us a gift to celebrate, the new trailer and poster for the upcoming Disney+ The Acolyte.
The Acolyte is set at the end of the Star Wars franchise’s High Republic era, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). It sees a respected Jedi Master investigating a series of crimes that bring him into conflict with a former Padawan learner and reveal sinister forces.
Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss star in the series.
Leslye Headland, Alex Garcia Lopez, Hanelle Culpepper, and Kogonada direct episodes of the series. Composer Michael Abels (Us, Get Out) will score.
The two-episode premiere of The Acolyte, a Star Wars Original series, arrives June 4 on Disney+.
