James Gunn Shares Look at ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’ Wrap Present

With filming coming to a close on the third Guardians of the Galaxy film and its accompanying Holiday Special, director James Gunn has revealed a look at the wrap gift Marvel Studios presented the crew with.

The tweet gives a good look at the different ornaments that the crew received. Not only are the ornaments a nice gift by top Marvel Studios Executives like Kevin Feige and Louis D’Espositio, but they also give a good look at the different members of the Guardians crew who will be making an appearance in the Disney+ special.

The ornaments feature long-time Guardians members such as Peter Quill, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Mantis, and Nebula as well as newer members Kraglin and Cosmo the Space Dog. Each Guardian is wearing festive outfits and we can even see that Groot has grown back into his adult form and Kraglin is wearing Yondu’s fin from the end of the second film. Absent from this lineup is, of course, Gamora who was last seen at the end of Avengers Endgame and will most likely be a focal point of Volume 3.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is coming to Disney+ later this year and will feature the return of James Gunn to the MCU as well as the next appearance of the Guardians of the Galaxy after their time with Thor during Thor: Love and Thunder in theaters this summer.
