Arkasha Stevenson will direct ‘The First Omen’ for 20th Century Studios.

Stevenson will co-write and direct the prequel to the 1976 film.

Arkasha Stevenson has been announced as the director for 20th Century Studios ‘The First Omen’. A prequel to the 1976 horror film ‘The Omen’ directed by the late Richard Donner.

According to Deadline Stevenson will also rewrite the script alongside her writing partner Tim Smith. Smith will also produce the film. Along with David S. Goyer and Keith Levine under the production label Phantom Four.

The original film Starring Gregory Peck revolved around a young boy revealed to be the antichrist. Several sequels followed along with a remake in 2006 Starring Liev Schreiber as well as a short-lived series called ‘Damien’ in 2016.
