In 1962, Amazing Fantasy issue #15 was released. This comic book introduced a new character who would become one of the most beloved characters in comic book history. Ever since, Spider-Man has been a fan favourite, and his story has been retold time and time again. Not only is Peter Parker a well-loved character, but he has also brought many other versions of this web-slinging hero to the page. Without Spider-Man, Marvel Comics might not be what it is today.
This year sees 60 years of our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man on the page, and later the screen. And to celebrate, Marvel Comics has a whole load of special covers and stories coming our way. Let’s take a look at what we know so far.
Amazing Fantasy #1000
In August we will get to see a very special, giant-sized, one-shot issue of Amazing Fantasy. This comic book will bring together some of the biggest names in comics to create a collection of incredible stories. We only have 2 of the covers on offer so far, but there’s going to be a lot more coming soon. But we do have some details about what will feature in the celebratory issue:
