‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Passes $900 Million Worldwide

We are two weeks away from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness debuting on Disney+. However, the sequel is continuing its push to be the next film from Marvel Studios to hit a billion dollars worldwide.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness crossing $900 million, no small feat. The film placed number 2 domestically with $9.3 million in its fifth outing for a domestic total of $388.7 million. According to Box Office Pro, overseas, it has earned $520.7 million for a cume of $909.4 million. This is also without a release in China, which would certainty have put the film over the billion dollar mark at this point.

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Not to mention, the film is loaded with fun appearances, which we still will not spoil.

The film is directed by Sam Raimi (original Spider-Man trilogy), and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson, and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron, who is coming off the hit Disney+ series, Loki, now streaming on Disney+. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now in theaters.
