‘Madame Web’ Set Photos Reveal First Look at Dakota Johnson as The Titular Character

New set photos and video for Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man spin-off Madame Web have surfaced. The images and video provide us with our first look at star Dakota Johnson as the titular character.

Dakota Johnson is seen wearing a red trenchcoat, this leads us to believe the film will be centered around Julia Carpenter’s Madame Web, who is the second character to take on the title, Cassandra Webb is the older version of Madame Web. Interestingly enough, Carpenter also held the title of Spider-Woman.

Madame Web recently started production in Boston and has become the studio’s most high-profile project with a stacked cast that also includes Emma Roberts, Sydney Sweeny, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Mike Epps, and Adam Scott. S.J. Clarkson directs the project, based on the comic book character who is a clairvoyant mutant specializing in predicting the future of Spider-themed superheroes.

The film is set to hit theaters on October 6, 2023. The October release has been a financially successful move for Sony in the past. Venom and Venom: Let Their Be Carnage, both released in October, have gone on to gross a combined $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office.
