EXCLUSIVE: Author Shea Ernshaw Talks New Book “Long Live the Pumpkin Queen”, the Sequel to “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (INTERVIEW)

29 years after Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas premiered in theaters and became an instant holiday classic, audiences now get to return to Halloween Town – though not the way they might have expected.

Author Shea Ernshaw (The Wicked Deep, Winterwood, A History of Wild Places) and Disney Publishing have created a sequel book to the beloved film, and this time, everyone’s favorite rag doll takes the spotlight.

While The Nightmare Before Christmas is the story of Pumpkin King Jack Skellington’s identity crisis, Long Live the Pumpkin Queen focuses on his paramour, Sally, and her own journey of self-discovery.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sit down with Shea and discuss the novel, from the responsibility of continuing the film’s legacy to creating a multitude of holiday towns to explore.

You can listen to the full interview below.

Long Live the Pumpkin Queen is available now wherever books are sold.
