Disney’s Holiday Film ‘Dashing Through The Snow’ Lands Ludacris, Lil Rel, and Teyonah Parris

Talk about an early Christmas present…

The cast for Disney’s previously announced holiday film Dashing Through The Snow has just been unveiled. According to Deadline, Christopher ‘Ludacris’ Bridges (the Fast and the Furious franchise), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), and Teyonah Parris (WandaVision) will headline the film.

Tim Story (Fantastic Four, Think Like A Man) will helm the comedy. Production is currently underway in Atlanta, and the plan is for it to be finished in time for a release on Disney+ this holiday season.

Will Packer, who worked on the Ride Along movies will produce. The project is based on an original idea by Scott Rosenberg (Con Air), and Rob Burnett, who wrote the first draft of the script. John Jacobs and Jessica Virtue also produce.

While originally believed to be an updated version of A Christmas Carol, according to Deadline “the film tells the story of a divorced social worker for the Atlanta police department who despises Christmas due to a painful childhood memory. When sent on a call while spending Christmas Eve with his daughter, he inadvertently evokes the wrath of a local politician but meets a man who helps him understand the joy and magic of Christmas.”

The movie will also star Oscar Nunez (The Office), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Ravi Patel (Wonder Woman 1984), Marcus Lewis (Black Panther) and Madison Skye Validum (Ivy + Bean).
