Horror Has A New Face In The Trailer For Hulu’s Meme-Inspired ‘Grimcutty’

With Halloween right around the corner, Disney is pulling out all the stops across its main streaming platforms, Disney+ and Hulu. After announcing a streaming guide for Disney+ earlier today, the first trailer has dropped for a brand new horror hitting Hulu next month called Grimcutty.

You can check it out below!

Described as a modern creature feature, the official synopsis is as follows:

“A scary internet meme called “Grimcutty” is stirring upp panic amongst all the parents in a small town, convinced it’s making their kids harm themselves and others. When a real-life version of Grimcutty starts attacking teen Asha Chaudry, her parents believe that she’s cutting herself as part of a challenge. With her phone taken away and no one who believes her, Asha has to figure out how to get through to her parents and stop the Grimcutty once and for all.”

Clearly inspired by modern urban legends and Creepypastas such as Slenderman and MoMo, the film is written and directed by John William Ross and stars Usman Ally, Shannyn Sossamon, and SEAL Team’s and Sara Wolfkind.

The film premieres exclusively on Hulu October 10th.
