After starting out as Pixar’s first intern, Jonas Rivera is now the Executive Vice President of Film Production at the studio, according to the Hollywood Reporter. That means he will look over all film and television productions for the studio. He is currently working on finishing Elemental, which is due to release next Summer as well as Win or Lose, Pixar’s first long form series for Disney+. He is also overseeing newly announced titles Elio and Inside Out 2 due for release the following summer.

Rivera has been instrumental at Pixar from its very beginnings. He was the first, and only, production intern on Toy Story and began to make his way up the ranks in subsequent films. He eventually became a producer for Up as well as Inside Out and Toy Story 4. He will be extremely important to the studio moving forward.
