In an unsurprising move, today Disney announced that the Walt Disney World Resort will close due to the impending Hurricane hitting Florida over the next few days. Disney informed cast members of this decision earlier this afternoon.
The parks will be closed on both Wednesday September 28th and Thursday September 29th. Disney Springs is anticipated to only be closed on Wednesday however, more guidance will be provided.
Walt Disney World was last closed for the Covid-19 Pandemic. Before then, it closed for Hurricane Irma in 2017.
