‘Loki’ Season 2 Reportedly Wraps Filming in London
At Disney’s D23 Expo back in September, we were lucky enough to see the cast and first footage for Loki season 2. While the cast couldn’t stay long due to ongoing filming, we now have an update on the Disney+ series.
Loki has wrapped up production on the second season in at Pinewood Studios in London. At this time it is unknown if filming is 100% complete or if the production is just done filming in London. However, a few members of the cast and crew took to Instagram to share photos of the wrap wearing wrap day merchandise, including a Miss Minutes hat. Other images include the hair and make-up team with a bouquet of flowers.
Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki, with Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino also starring, reprising their roles from the first season. Additionally, Ke Huy Quan appears as a Time Variance Authority archivist, and Rafael Casal is cast in an undisclosed “major role”.
All six episodes were written by Eric Martin, with Moon Knight directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing the majority of episodes. Composer Natalie Holt returns to score.
Loki season 2 is expected to begin streaming on Disney+ in mid-2023 and is a part of Phase 5 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
