According to Variety, French production companies Pathé’ and Chapter 2 are working with Disney to produce two more installments in its newly established The Three Musketeers franchise.
The first two films titled The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan and The Three Musketeers – Milady have yet to be released theatrically, but development on two new spin-off series titled Milady: Origins and Black Musketeer is already in the early stages.
The studios are teaming up with Disney+ and both shows are expected to begin production early next year.
Like the films, the shows will be shot in French.
Judith Havas and Simon Jablonka will co-produce Milady: Origins, while Thomas Mansuy and Mathieu Leblanc are co-producing Black Musketeer. Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patelliere who will serve as show-runners for both spin-offs.
