Aubrey Plaza Reportedly Joins Marvel’s ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’

Aubrey Plaza is reportedly joining the MCU! According to The Illuminderdi, Plaza has joined the cast of the WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

The Parks and Recreation star joins a cast that includes Kathryn Hahn, who reprises her WandaVision role of the magical villain Agatha Harkness, Emma Caulfield, who also returns as “Dottie”, and Joe Locke, who is set for an unknown role, however, Locke’s character is still a mystery only described by Deadline as “a gay teen with a dark sense of humor”. This has lead many to believe he could either be Wanda’s son Billy Maximoff aka Wiccan or Harkness’ son Nicholas Scratch.

Plaza’s role is being kept under wraps but is said to be one of many supporting female characters expected to appear.

The site also reports that Agatha: Coven of Chaos is looking to shoot briefly for a week or two next month before production formally begins in January through the early summer of 2023 in Atlanta likely at Trilth Studios. The series, which is said to be a comedy, is eyeing a premiere in the second half of 2023 or the first half of 2024.

WandaVision creator and exec producer Jac Schaeffer is showrunning Coven of Chaos. Also, returning from WandaVision is the writing team of Megan McDonnell, Peter Cameron, Laura Donney, and Cameron Squires.
