Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata is the latest to join the growing cast of Marvel Studios’ WandaVision spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Zamata joins Kathryn Hahn, who is back as Agatha Harkness, Emma Caulfield back as Dottie, and fellow newcomers Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, who is believed to be playing a villainous role, Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia. According to Deadline, Ahn and Dizzia are playing a pair of witches. It is unknown, who Zamata is playing.

Additionally, the trade is reporting that Eric André (The Lion King) has joined the project for a least one episode in an unknown role.

WandaVision writer, producer, and showrunner Jac Schaeffer serves as writer and executive producer on the spinoff. Schaeffer has an overall deal with Marvel Studios and is also developing a Vision spin-off Vision Quest.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is looking to shoot briefly for a week or two next month before production formally begins in January through the early summer of 2023 in Atlanta likely at Trilth Studios. The series, which is said to be a comedy, is eyeing a premiere in the second half of 2023 or the first half of 2024.
