Disney Extends Deal With ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Creator Tim Federle
Just because high school ends doesn’t mean all the fun has to…
Disney proved that today when they extended High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle’s deal with them.
The new deal eclipses his original one, which he signed at the dawn of Disney+ in 2018. It’s unclear when the deal expires; however, we believe that it yet another 4 year deal that will keep Federle creating content for the company through at least 2026.
The deal is with both Federle and his company, Chorus Boy Productions. As a part of the deal, Federle has recruited Bronwyn North-Reist as the head of Creative for Chorus Boy Productions, and his longtime manager, Jennie Frisbie, who will develop and produce creative content while continuing to manage new and current talent.
On top of developing the highly popular High School Musical spin-off series, Federle also wrote, directed and executive produced Walt Disney Studios’ Better Nate Than Ever, based on his best-selling novel of the same name.
It’s unclear if he plans to work on another feature film for the company, but regardless of what he has planned it will have to wait until the ambitious next season 4 of HSMTMTS wraps.
