The long awaited and highly anticipated Star Wars series from acclaimed writer and director Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) may have gotten a release window!
According to Collider, Disney is looking at a Summer of 2024 release for the intriguing new series.
Taking place during the High Republic era, The Acolyte takes place 100 years before The Phantom Menace and entails a a former Padawan and their former Jedi Master investigating a set of crimes that are much more sinister than believed.
The impressive cast includes Amandla Stenberg as the lead with Dafne Keen, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jung-jae, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, Charlie Barnett and Joonas Suotamo rounding it out.
Not much is known about many of the characters, but thanks to a description of the first trailer from Star Wars Celebration, Jung-jae and Carrie-Anne Moss are playing Jedi Masters while Joonas Suotamo is playing a Jedi Master Wookie! While Dafne Keen is described to be some kind of Sith Assassin hunting Jedi.
