During the Partner Direct presentation, THQ Nordic revealed the return of Epic Mickey in a remastered edition titled Epic Mickey Rebrushed.
This enhanced version of the Wii original is set to launch sometime this year, although an exact release date has not been confirmed yet. The exclusivity of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed to the Switch platform remains uncertain at this time.
The original Epic Mickey, released in 2010, Epic Mickey was part of an effort by Disney to re-brand the Mickey Mouse character by placing less emphasis on his pleasant, cheerful side and reintroducing the more mischievous and adventurous sides of his personality, depicting him as an epic hero.
The success of the game would help it spawn two more Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two and Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion.
