Kumail Nanjiani is joining the all-star cast of Hulu‘s hit series Only Murders in the Building, which is now filming.
According to Variety, Nanjiani will appear in a recurring role that is mostly being kept under wraps. However, the trade says his character will be integral to this season’s investigation, which shifts from the Arconia to Los Angeles.
The Eternals star joins a quickly growing star-studded cast that includes Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, and Molly Shannon. Meryl Streep is also returning from season 3. They are joined by stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.
This marks a Hulu reunion for Nanjiani as he led the streamer’s limited series Welcome to Chippendales, which earned him an Emmy nod. He also made a guest appearance on the Hulu comedy History of the World Part II. For Disney, he voiced the Cuteling Mayor in Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. He also portrayed Stu Prasad in the 2019 Fox film Stuber and Kingo Sunen in the 2021 Marvel film Eternals. Additionally, he played Haja Estree in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
