The second season of the Disney+ holiday series The Santa Clauses came to a close last year. Now, the question remains, will we get a third season?
According to Deadline, Disney has not canceled the series, but it has also not yet greenlit a third season. Additionally, if a season 3 does happen it is very unlikely it would be ready for a 2024 debut, instead, it would come in 2025.
Now why is a 2024 release unlikely? Well, star Tim Allen is headlining a new ABC series titled Shifting Gears, which follows Matt (Allen), a stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.
If a third season of The Santa Clauses comes to fruition and Shifting Gears is picked up to series, Allen would be able to do both; they are produced by the same studio, 20th Television.
