Similar to the first season, the next will be also be comprised of 8 episodes. However, it appears that the next season will establish the show as an anthology with both a brand new story and set of characters.

The plot synopsis is as follows:

“Teenage siblings discover a threat within their home, setting off a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the story of five teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”

The first season starred Justin Long, Rachael Harris, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles Mckenna, Ana Yi Puig, and Will Price.

Inspired by R.L. Stine’s worldwide bestselling book series, it followed a group of five high schoolers as they embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle – while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents’ past.

Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman serve as co-creators and executive producers on the first season, but it’s unclear if they will return in any capacity for the next one.
