Apparently the DIS in Warner Bros. Discovery might stand for Disney…
Or so subscribers might think after they hear about this new, exciting deal.
Wednesday, it was announced that the two companies were teaming up to offer a streaming bundle that would combine Disney+, Hulu and Max for customers.
Per Variety, the bundle will launch this summer. And there’s no specific pricing info just yet. However, any one interested in such a combination of services will have the option to select it on any of the three streaming platforms’ websites. There will be both an ad-free and ad-supported version of the plan.
In a joint statement released early Wednesday, both companies said “the best value in entertainment and an unprecedented selection of content from the biggest and most beloved brands in entertainment including ABC, CNN, DC, Discovery, Disney, Food Network, FX, HBO, HGTV, Hulu, Marvel, Pixar, Searchlight, Warner Bros. and many more,”
Funny enough, this isn’t the only streaming plan Disney is cooking up with WBD. Both companies have also teamed up with FoxCorp to launch a streaming sports bundle expected to debut this fall.
