The beloved adventurer Moana returns for another epic journey on the high seas this November with the release of a brand-new feature film. Reprising their roles from the original, Auli’i Cravalho lends her voice to the courageous heroine Moana, while Dwayne Johnson once again brings the larger-than-life demigod Maui to life.
Set to make waves exclusively in theaters on November 27, 2024, Walt Disney Animated Studios’ Moana 2 picks up three years after the events of the first movie. This time, Moana and Maui find themselves embarking on a grand new voyage, joined by an eccentric crew of seafaring misfits.
A mystical summons from her ancestral wayfinders propels Moana on an extraordinary new quest across the vast expanse of Oceania. Venturing into uncharted and perilous waters, she must brace herself for challenges far beyond anything she has encountered before.
The directorial team of David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller helms this cinematic adventure, with Christina Chen and Yvett Merino serving as producers. Moana 2 features an original musical score composed by the acclaimed Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and the three-time Grammy victor, Mark Mancina.
