McDonald’s might already be selling the promotional toys for Captain America: Brave New World, but it appears that the film is far from finished.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony Mackie and company are back on set for reshoots. However, this time there’s a brand new actor in the mix: Giancarlo Esposito.
Murphy’s Multiverse previously revealed that Esposito was slated to appear in the highly anticipated sequel, but now it’s official as his name has been added to the call sheet for the reshoots. It’s still unclear what role he will playing though.
Per THR, the shoot will only run 22 days.

The film is directed by Julius Onah, who co-wrote the script with Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. It stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America alongside Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Harrison Ford, and Liv Tyler.
Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
